Hello friends from Cinema Audio Society...

I'm working with sound pos production in a tv station.
It's a hard daily work to fight against poor sound quality.
Unfortunatelly many people think that video is more important than audio.
I really love my job! But I am tired to row against the tide.
I need to upgrade my career.
When I go to the movies I'm enthusiastic and astonished with the amazing quality in each piece of sound efx and music...
I'm reading TH's book "Sound for film and television". I read the articles about sound film in Filmsound.org!
What can I do to go one step away???

Thanks a lot!

Andre,

I have been in that exact situation myself.

All you can do is give each project your best efforts...but realise that you are constrained by time and budget. So, do the best you can with what you've got and you'll be able to sleep easy.

As usual in TV land, you won't be thanked...but you'll know how much work you put in...and how bad the show could have been if you didn't care as much as you do.

Trust me...eventually someone will notice.

Cheers,
Tim

Hi Tim!

Thank you very much for your words.
You're right! We need, always, do the best we can...
We can see, each day, as a new chance to make a change in the way that the people face a thing called audio post production, right?
Thank you, my friend, you help me a lot!
