Hello all.

I am new to the CAS forum and was wondering if I could get some advice. I am currently attending The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences here in Tempe, Arizona studying all aspects of sound. I graduate in June and will be moving straight to Los Angeles for a post production internship.

I have applied for Danetracks' internship program and am looking into all of the other post facilities out there for similar opportunities. I currently am running Cubase on my PC and experimenting with sounds and music but just purchased a Digi 002 Rack to practice Pro Tools which I am certified in. I attended the NAB convention last week and met some really great people there who have been extremely helpful including a man who called me a few days later wanting me to help him buy the equipment he will need for his first feature length film.

So I feel like I am on the right track here but I would really appreciate some advice on what I can do to get into this industry. Websites (i.e. www.filmsound.org is one I've learned a lot from), other forums, events and especially studios that might be willing to hire on an intern. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
