Hi,

I have 20 years of technology and over 15 in audio production. I can build a complete post facility from dirt, manage clients, perform any tracking, editing, sound design, adr, foley, mixing, mastering, I can also teach and train staff, mange staff, and provie complete tech support for your facility. I can also edit film and video on AVID and FINAL CUT PRO, handle Field audio and video, and, project manage anything from a lunch run to design, construction and full implementation of a complete corporate facility. I can also direct and produce projects if required.

My current facility WORLD WIDE AUDIO's lease is up in a few months, and although I am good at many things, I suck at sales, so I'm just not earning enough to build a whole new facility. So i'm back in the job market. I am available and my gear is available to come on board as an employee or work for space deal.

cheers
georgia

Why do you need a facility and staff? That's just overhead. You seem talented and experienced enough to make it without them.

In 1988 my wife persuaded me to leave the giant post house / production company where I was head of sound, because in any giant post house, sound gets the short end of the stick...

So I made deals with a couple of local sound shops to rent their studios, engineerless, at a discount. Then I let my clients know I was still available, though not through the giant post house (this was okay with the post house; in fact, they rented me studio space).

Pretty soon I had a couple of used recorders in my attic, so I could do the editing without paying anybody for space.

As things got digital, it became easier and easier for me to do first-class stuff out of the house. And that generated cash, while still not having much overhead.

I built a client-friendly edit / mix room in one room of the house, and clients* had no objection to walking past the living room to get there.

[*local spot/promo/docy producers mostly, plus projects for Disney, A&E, and PBS]

We renovated four years ago, so I built a real suite (see website). But I went 1988 - 2000 without anything resembling a real room of my own with proper acoustics. If I could, you can too... you've already got the equipment.
